November 2022 Social Media Days

We’re into one of the busiest months for many businesses!

Christmas may be just around the corner and what’s on everyone’s minds, but there is still so much more to get involved with this November to add a little fun and variety to your social media calendars.

Which of these dates will you be including? What are you looking forward to the most?

Social Media Dates in November

1st – World Vegan Day – If you’re not already vegan, do you think you could try it for one day? There are so many great vegan recipes out there to enjoy, and today is the perfect day to give it a go!

1st-2nd – Day of the Dead – El Día de los Muertos is one of those truly fascinating festivals based in Mexico that honours loved ones who have left us. It’s not a day to be sad though, but rather one that’s full of joy as heartfelt stories are shared while respects are paid. Although this is an event that takes place in Mexico, it has captivated the world with it’s colourful, happy themes.

2nd – Stress Awareness Day – Everyone experiences stress at some point, but when we let it take over and overwhelm, then it can be a problem that affects both mental and physical health. What sort of things do you do when you feel yourself getting stressed? Do you have any tips to share with your followers?

3rd – Sandwich Day – Today is all about one of the most versatile foods ever! Sticking anything between two pieces of bread, and ta-da! You got yourself a sandwich. What makes the perfect sandwich for you?

5th – Guy Fawkes Day/Bonfire Night – Remember, remember the 5th of November! Today is the commemoration of Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot, which 400 years later is still celebrated with bonfires and fireworks, but no need to light things alight to have fun! Enjoy some tasty treats like bangers and mash and parkin.

11th – Remembrance Day (UK)/Veterans Day (US) – The 11th marks the annual observance of those who have served, with Veterans Day in the US and Remembrance Day in the UK (and Remembrance Sunday on the 13th). Be sure to thank a veteran today!

13th – World Kindness Day – Kindness is contagious, so start something special and do one random act of kindness, no matter how small, and make someone’s day! When you spread good feelings, you get good feelings back. Let’s help make kindness the norm. The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation has some social media images you are free to share to help spread the word.

19th – International Men’s Day – International Men’s Day looks to highlight the positive influence male role models have had personally and for the community and bring awareness to men’s physical and mental well-being. Who have been the male role models in your life? Today is a great day to give them a shout-out! International Men’s Day coincides with Movember, a month-long movement to bring awareness to men’s health.

21st – World Cup starts – The new winter World Cup kicks off on the 21st November in Qatar, with the final taking place 18th December. It’s a bit of a weird one for many football fans but we’ll see how it plays out (literally)! Any early predictions?

21st – World Television Day – World Television Day isn’t just about celebrating your favourite television shows, but it was a day created by the United Nations to mark the influence television has. What have been your favourite TV shows?

24th – Thanksgiving – Thanksgiving always falls on the fourth Thursday of the month, and this year, that’s the 24th. America families and friends will be gathering for food and good times while reflecting on the last year and giving thanks for all the good.

25th – Black Friday – Love it or hate it, Black Friday is a thing (although it seems to have grown to more than one day!) Whether or not you’re taking part is completely up to you, but be sure to show up for your audience nonetheless on the biggest shopping day of the year.

26th – Small Business Saturday (US) – Support small businesses today and every day! Small Business Saturday is a campaign to encourage shoppers to shop small and local where possible for their Christmas gifts. The official UK Small Business Saturday is on the following week (3rd Dec).

26th – National Cake Day – Did someone say CAKE?! Here’s your excuse to indulge in your favourite slice because it’s National Cake Day on the 26th! What’s your go-to?

28th – Cyber Monday – The Monday after Black Friday has been turned into Cyber Monday, a day where e-commerce sales were on or 24-hours online. Of course, nowadays online shopping is the norm and Cyber Monday has turned into an extension of Black Friday for many. It’s become the second biggest shopping day of the year so again, make sure you show up for your audience on this day!

29th – Giving Tuesday – Following chaos of a busy shopping weekend is a reminder to give back where possible. Giving Tuesday is a day to support the causes that mean something to you. Businesses may choose to give back a certain percentage from sales that day, offer a donation, give back time or even just shout out about the causes near and dear to their heart to help bring awareness to organisations doing good.
